3 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE 205 Live (Dec 20, 2016)

2. A Correction From Last Week

Noam Dar Sex Pest

In last week’s 205 Live rundown, I bemoaned Noam Dar’s positioning as a sex pest. WWE rarely learns from history, and Dar’s update on Dean Malenko’s Double Ho Seven schtick was destined to fail…

Only, it isn’t. Dar has been handed sh*t - but he is making lemonade out there. The script he reads from is as limited as it is ridden with cliché (“all I want for Christmas is you”?). But Dar, whose sterling reputation, it must be said, wasn’t forged by his promo game, has made the best of it. His line readings are hilarious; referring to the object of his affection as Alicia Fuurrxxxx, the twenty-three year old Dar sounds like a leering, dirty old man, lingering over that sole syllable to blackly comic effect.

The post-match angle saw him carry the stricken Alicia Fuurrxxxx, whose ankle was twisted in the melee of the finishing sequence, to the backstage medical area. The smug grin he flashed towards Cedric Alexander was equally brilliant. It was a face you’d never tire of punching, and in a show short on storyline hooks, the thought of seeing him get punched is a reason to tune back in.

And, as seen by Fuurrxxxx’s post-match tweet, she didn’t specify who her lover boy was…
