3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 22 - Results & Review)

1. Workhorse Champ Delivers Again

Orange Cassidy Rocky Romero
AEW

Whilst there was nothing earth-shattering about Orange Cassidy vs. Rocky Romero, facts are facts: Cassidy is one of the most valuable workhorses Tony Khan has under contract. He consistently delivers the goods regardless of position on the card or opponent, and that speaks volumes about his talent.

Rampage's opener was a fun one.

A proper, lengthy and fleshed-out feud is a must for Orange in 2024, but you can tell he's embraced this workhorse role. It comes across as genuine when the announcers say he enjoys defending the International Title against all-comers. Fans are getting a kick out of it too.

Side note: Well done to Excalibur for acknowledging Trent Beretta's history with Romero and friendship with both workers. Also, it was a huge plus for the match that Trent didn't get involved either way. That would've been unnecessary.
