3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage: Winter Is Coming (Dec 15 - Results & Review)

AEW just booked one of the best feel good pro wrestling moments of 2023.

Kevin Marshall Ross Von Erich AEW
AEW

There's one thing even Tony Khan's harshest critics would have to admit about the man: AEW's kingpin has a good heart and a real fondness for pro wrestling's past. All Elite hardcores witnessed that firsthand following the sad passing of Brodie Lee. The way Tony and his roster nurtured Brodie's young son was heartwarming, and it reminds you there's still plenty goodness left in this industry.

Khan just repeated the trick, albeit with a much older gent.

Kevin Von Erich has been through a hell of a lot in his life, and that's why it was so lovely to see what happened on Rampage. The 'C' show gave Kevin and some younger Von Erichs the chance to be happy in front of an impassioned Texan crowd. It was a one off, but so what?

Elsewhere, Rampage featured a match that lit up social media. This writer isn't as kind to it as some others were, but he can see the value in such spot-heavy shenanigans too. That headliner earns a place in both the 'Ups' and the 'Downs' though. Sorry in advance if you're looking to get the pitchforks out after that!

Here's all the good and bad from this past Friday's latest.
