3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW: Battle Of The Belts

3. No World Title

Hangman Page
AEW

This is getting a 'Down' too.

Where the f*ck was the AEW World Title, and why wasn't it featured on this showcase of championship gold? All Elite were putting on the first Battle Of The Belts, so you'd think they'd make an effort to book Hangman Page (y'know, the reigning World Champion) on the card.

Nope, and who knows why? What a strange decision. If anything, that Hangman vs. Bryan Danielson rematch from Dynamite should've been kept back for this event that was...centred around big time matches for the belts. AEW could've made the night PPV-ish instead of just a routine premium live event.

Sure, that's a light-hearted dig, but come on. It was an insult to this show's credibility that Page wasn't involved at all. Way to make your new concept look flat, lads. If WWE booked a title-centric event and didn't put one of the World Titles on, people would (rightly) moan.

Tony isn't getting a pass here.
