3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 9)

2. It’s Hard To Care, Isn’t It?

"It's genuinely hard to care about any of this".

The exact same could be said for Hikaru Shida defending her Regina Di Wave Title against The Bunny on Rampage. This is the latest example of chronic product dilution - AEW has enough belts on TV right now. They've got the in-house ones and the ROH straps. Then, FTR are carting the AAA Tag Titles around too.

As if that wasn't enough, Shida just brought an indy fed's title to AEW TV for a one-off defence? That was the last thing this company needed, but here it is happening. Whilst there was certainly nothing wrong with Hikaru vs. Bunny, it was hard to properly get invested when it's nothing to do with AEW.

Gee, can't wait for Shida to pretend that the Regina Di Wave strap is as prestigious as Jamie Hayter's AEW Women's one on Dynamite. That sounds like a great idea, doesn't it? Suggest (even for one second) that a championship few have even heard of is worthy of being in the same convo as your main female title.
