3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Holiday Bash (Dec 23)

1. A Main Event With Purpose

Jeff Jarrett Jay Lethal

OK, so some out there will hate this.

This fan personally has no issues with Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal winning the main event tag on Rampage. They're another pairing who work incredibly well together, and it was the right call to have Lethal pin Billy Gunn rather than Anthony Bowens in the end.

The heel win should set up an AEW Tag-Team Title bout down the road. Bring that on, because adding Max Caster back into the mix (he was kayfabe injured here) will only make things even better. Plus, again, Lethal and Jarrett are magic heel foil for teams like The Acclaimed.

Special mention for guys like Gunn and Jarrett too. The fact they're still involved in legitimately-over matches/acts in 2022 is astounding. It isn't forced either, especially for 'Daddy Ass'. He's a vital part of The Acclaimed's success, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
