3 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 18)

Downs...

4. Going The Wrong Way

Sheamus Ridge Holland

Oh dear.

Sheamus and Ridge Holland would have real potential as a tag-team if WWE's writers were even remotely interested in making that happen. Instead, they're booking friction between both men and pretending that Ridge is some annoying rookie who p*sses the veteran off by making mistakes.

WWE are literally running this same story over on another show with Dominik Mysterio, so this heel variant feels uninspired and rather boring. Also, if anything, Sheamus and Holland should be showing a united front this early into their run together - they certainly shouldn't be butting heads already or teasing a split.

Everything feels a bit rushed, to be honest. Ridge has gone from being Sheamus' biggest asset to a nuisance who can't walk two steps in front of himself without screwing up. This will not get him over, and it's pointless if he's remaining heel anyway.
