3 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 15)

2. "Neck Health Awareness Month"

The Kingdom Mike Bennett Matt Taven
AEW

Take a bow, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett.

Together, The Kingdom boys managed to make the most of their post-victory promo time after beating Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal. They referenced good pal Roderick Strong's neck issues (Taven: "He's in poor neck health!"), and got the live crowd invested by going fully comedic.

Unlike The Acclaimed and Dark Order skit, this was funny. Taven and Bennett were solid on the microphone, spoke about a top storyline currently dominating AEW programming, and set up an ROH Tag Title challenge vs. MJF and Adam Cole down the road.

Both guys showed more personality here than they have at any other point during their AEW careers to date. The way Bennett pointed towards a wristband on Taven's arm and said it was in support of "Neck Health Awareness Month" was sheer gold.

Special word for his imaginary piledriver too.
