3 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Feb 27)

2. New Day & Usos Tear It Up

Put The Usos and The New Day in the same place at the same time, give them a slither of creative freedom, and magic will happen. A simple equation, and one that should probably be applied to more feuds across the show.

The two teams met in the ring last night. The New Day, having secured number one contendership the previous week, ran through their usual shtick, then spoke about their upcoming bout with Jimmy and Jey. This brought the brothers Uso from the back. As usual, they bounced off each other like a battle rap tandem, claiming they'd run through the New Day at Fastlane, putting the five-time champions on the sidelines.

The promos were strong, and the chemistry palpable. Eventually, the Bludgeon Brothers showed up to spoil the party, prompting the other teams to bail. A great team Harper and Rowan may be, but the lowly Fastlane card really needs another New Day/Usos banger in-line with their 2017 classics. Save the multi-team garbage for later, please.
