3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 7)

2. A Nothing Appearance

Triple H 2023

WWE's social media feeds made a lot of noise about Triple H appearing on Friday's edition of SmackDown and announcing something grand. In the end, that resulted in Trips running through the same celebratory stuff about 'Mania he did on Raw, then talking about the upcoming Draft.

Thrilling scenes, lads.

It's gonna be hard for anybody to get up for that, especially when everyone watching knows creative won't stick to show choices throughout the rest of the year anyway. Hunter's heavily-hyped appearance was a bit of a sh*t segment and a waste of airtime then.

'The Game' could be excused for putting a bow on WrestleMania during Raw, but not here. He defo didn't need to recap the same stuff, or even talk about the Draft at all. His attempts to make this 2023 version exciting were frankly rather tame.
