Last week, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro teased putting Kofi Kingston through a table before Big E made the save. That was logical - it teased the stipulation at Extreme Rules, and it crucially kept the image of someone going through the wood hanging.

So much for that, eh?

The heels bumped Kofi onto E and through a table this week. Perhaps the only saving grace is that this didn't happen next week (two days before the pay-per-view) and thus tick that telegraph booking quota box WWE so love before big events. There's a decent chance New Day will get their revenge right before Extreme Rules too.

That leaves the match hanging with a familiar 50/50 balance. It might've been smarter to have Shin and Cesaro go for another table break only for something to stop them. It's surely all about that tease and then pay-per-view pay off here.
