3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 16)

2. STOP WRECKING TAG-TEAMS!

Then, there's this trash.

Everyone in the pro wrestling fandom should be questioning the logic of booking Braun Strowman to smash through tags like they're bowling pins. The way he manhandled both Maximum Male Models and Alpha Academy this week was a depressing commentary on how Trips views those guys.

OK, so there was a positive moment. Otis wanted to charge back in for some more, but Chad Gable told him to leave it and regroup. That made sense. Everything else? Nah, man. Surely WWE could come up with something better for Braun to do than single-handedly making the tag-team division look seriously weak.

The announcers spent time talking up the competitive tag ranks during this episode's main event. That didn't sound right when Strowman had destroyed two undercard units like they meant absolutely nothing. If fans shouldn't care about these squads, then don't put them on TV.

This isn't even helping Braun!
