3 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dark (Dec 10)

5. Where Was This On Dynamite?

It was great to see AEW's new backstage correspondent Lexy Nair giving the women's division some serious shine on Dark last night, but why isn't this stuff going down on Dynamite as well? Why are AEW restricting it to a web series watched by a fraction of the A-show's audience?

Cody, in a recent interview with Dallas News, claimed that "to follow AEW, you've got to watch Dynamite. Dynamite's our only show. Everything else that exists outside of that is shoulder content."

So recapping and developing the women's division is "shoulder content"? Really?

Granted, viewers don't need Dynamite to become Recap Central, but what use is dedicating Dark time to building the women's division when they could be doing it on a more visible platform? One of the scene's biggest issues is a lack of character development. Something like Dark's tremendous Big Swole vignette would go a long way to addressing that, but it isn't deemed important enough to go down on TNT.
