3 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dark (Dec 10)

3. To Push, Or Not To Push?

Not everyone can be pushed at once and AEW wrestlers will be made to wait their turn before their moment in the sun comes around, so it's understandable that the company aren't really doing a whole lot with Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford. Regardless, it's puzzling that AEW went out of their way to establish the real-life couple as A Thing, with Sabian taking Ford on as his manager, only to immediately take their foot off the gas.

A listless appearance in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal (for which the duo made their entrance during the commercial break) was the first we saw of them after their coming together. Then, on last night's Dark, Sabian faced Kenny Omega in a losing effort. There's no shame in that on paper, but shouldn't 'Superbad' be racking up a few wins, establishing his alliance with Ford, and building some momentum before he's going toe-to-toe with one of AEW's biggest stars?

This feels as stop/start as the average midcard WWE push.
