3 Ups & 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 29)

1. The Usos & New Day Deliver (Again)

The Usos vs. The New Day is WWE’s best in-ring rivalry at the moment. These two teams have awesome chemistry together, and their last two pay-per-view bouts have been incredible, with SummerSlam somehow improving upon Battleground. Now, they’re set for another big SmackDown Tag Team Title clash, and there’s no reason to believe the quality won't continue.

The two teams faced off for the right to name the stipulation in said title match, and while the contest was several steps below their PPV standards, it was still the best thing on the show. Again, there was nothing spectacular on offer, but they made the most of their relatively limited timeslot, with the heelish champions scoring a sneaky win with a handful of tights.

The match’s one major problem was that it began as a screen-in-screen, which always makes it hard to get into. Regardless, these duos always work well together. Their next match will come on weekly TV, not at a PPV, but if they’re given a solid amount of time, they’re going to deliver. They could probably feud over the belts for the next six months and nobody would complain, such is the strength of their work.
