3 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (8 Nov)

2. Sasha Banks' Return & Nikki Cross' Energy

If WWE aren't careful, Sasha Banks' natural magnetism will push her ahead of Bayley in the storyline pecking order again. On SmackDown, Banks was clearly determined to put recent injury hiccups behind her and have a good match with Nikki Cross. Though it could've done without Bayley confusing lack of vigour on commentary, the match was solid.

Most importantly, Sasha was given a strong win on her return.

Cross was perfect for this role too. Her fire and energy gave people in the stands a reason to care, and her fine facial expressions sucked the audience in for the final few minutes; it was also cool to see a babyface recognise the threat of interference and cut off the source. Nikki attacking Bayley made sense.

This segment was one of the better ones on this week's broadcast, and it should act as a reminder to WWE that Sasha has legs as a top heel. It'd be a shame if she was one-and-done after the Hell In A Cell feud with Becky.
