From an in-ring perspective, Adam Cole vs. Daniel Bryan was occasionally pulsating stuff. The pair were well-matched, and Bryan did a stunning job of enhancing Cole's reputation without sacrificing his own. It was one of the best SmackDown main events in a while, and set the bar pretty high for this week.

Roman Reigns vs. 'King' Corbin couldn't jump it.

People aren't invested in Reigns at the moment, and understandably so. Aside from fending off potential murder several months ago and being infrequently cast as a "locker room leader", Roman has done bugger all to warrant attention. He's just sort of there at the minute, isn't in any title hunt and screams token babyface act.

As much as he and Corbin tried to lure people into their headline brawl with the addition of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode at ringside, they failed. Cole vs. Bryan and Reigns vs. Corbin could be considered the yin and yang of WWE booking in 2019. It's all over the place.
