After being overpowered by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, it was important for Omos to step right back in the ring and re-establish himself and his winning ways.

That not only was true in reality, but in storyline, as MVP apparently insisted the Nigerian Giant compete. And so, we got Omos demolishing Elias in a quick and decisive fashion. It was exactly what it needed to be, with the Nigerian Giant slamming the troubadour a few times and putting him away with a tree slam.

No one expects to see Omos grinding week in and week out, but reminding fans that he’s a threat who was only felled by one of the toughest men in combat sports was clutch.
