3 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 7)
2. A Solid Match With A Purpose
You could have easily shrugged off the Bobby Lashley/Jeff Hardy match as nothing more than time-filler, and it still would have merited some positive feedback, but as it turned out, this segment actually had a point.
Lashley and Hardy had a solid, if unspectacular, match on Monday night, with the United States Champion earning the win. But it was the presence of Riddle that really drove things forward. The Original Bro was seen backstage a few times chatting up superstars, including Hardy right before the match. Riddle came out during the bout to counteract MVP, them jumped into the ring to stop Lashley from keeping the Hurt Lock on Hardy for too long.
Bobby threw Jeff at Riddle before leaving, giving us the visual of Riddle staring down Lashley. It wasn’t seismic, but it kept this story moving in the right direction, which is a rarity these days for WWE.
