3 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 37

5. Masked Mindlessness

In what might be the final reference to RETRIBUTION for a while in this column, we have to call attention to the two behemoths of the erstwhile faction.

T-Bar and Mace showed up in the final moments of Raw to hit a double sit-out chokeslam (High Justice is what they called it previously) on Drew McIntyre after MVP distracted the Scottish Warrior. However, they never acknowledged each other, so no formal alliance was declared.

But here’s the stupid part: T-Bar and Mace donned those ridiculous masks as part of RETRIBUTION because of the backstory and angle the was played up: they were overlooked and misused by WWE, so they launched these anonymous attacks on the company all around the Performance Center (and later, ThunderDome). Now that they’ve walked out of RETRIBUTION and quit the faction, why are they still wearing those stupid masks?

There is no reason to keep putting on those knockoff Bane masks and grunt all the time. Just lose the masks and go back to being Dominik Dijakovic and Dio Maddin. You can call it a reboot and let them actually show off a bit. This is worse than Tito Santana wearing his Strike Force tights for eons after the tag team broke up.
