3 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw After WrestleMania 37

3. 50/50-ing Damian Priest

You have got to be kidding us.

So on the heels of Bad Bunny and Damian Priest taking out Miz & John Morrison, the must-see tag team challenged Priest to a handicap match, with Bunny nowhere in sight.

For most of the match, Priest looked like he was going to build off his WrestleMania victory and prove that the full-time wrestler could get it done without the rapper backing him up. But no, WWE’s 50/50 booking reared its ugly head, as Miz rolled up Damian and pinned him with his feet on the ropes.

Now, you can point to the handicap match, or Miz cheating, but if you’re going to build a star, why would have you have him lose to the guys who got owned by a rapper 48 hours earlier? Do some heel miscommunication and let Priest get his shine by winning on what is typically a marquee Raw.

Of course, this could be leading to a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash, but it just feels like they knocked the wind out of Priest’s sails for the sake of doing it.
