3 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Jan 25)

1. A Rated-R Return

Hypothetically, WWE could have played things close to the vest and given fans a nice surprise on Sunday, but really, they already had a bite at that apple last year.

So Edge showed up on Raw on Monday night to announced his return to the ring (again), this time after seven months off due to injury, as he entered the Royal Rumble. As usual, Edge gave a solid promo talking about how he had to forfeit his world championship 10 years ago, then made a miraculous comeback last year, only to have that ripped away at Backlash when he got injured.

The Rated-R Superstar acknowledged that the window is closing for him, so he has to take advantage of his opportunities, and this is his shot to win back a title he never lost.

All said, this was a solid return promo from a Hall-of-Famer who hopefully will get a better run in 2021 than he did in 2020. He immediately ups the value of Raw and adds some star power to a show severely lacking in it.
