As noted earlier, there were plenty of interesting bits that played out at Starrcade, but they took place in dark matches and never aired. Therefore, they’re not part of WWE canon – unless the company suddenly decides to acknowledge it.

As a result, we got a four-match event that featured and eight-woman tag match and only one of the three title matches from Saturday night – and that was a United States Championship match that lasted about three minutes before a DQ led to a tag match (what, was Teddy Long the acting GM for Starrcade?).

The most significant match had to be AJ Styles tapping out Samoa Joe inside a steel cage. That should end the feud, right?
