The New Day's feud with The Wyatt Family left a lot to be desired, but it did give a chance for the tag champions to display a somewhat more serious side. The feud was centred around Xavier Woods' fear of Bray Wyatt, and the strange hold that the Eater of Worlds seemed to have over Xavier.

The two trios ended their feud at Battleground, where Woods was able to overcome his fear and fight Wyatt, only to come up short in the end. Before vanquishing his demons Woods struggled throughout the match, perfectly captured in the image above. Wyatt had stopped Woods in his tracks once more, before blasting a flying Kofi and planting him down to the mat.

The look of disbelief in Woods eyes here is beautifully juxtaposed with the opposite belief, the realisation that this can't go on and something must be done to stop this war.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
