30 Best WWE Photos Of 2016

14. A Leap Of No-Faith

14 The Undertaker Shane McMahon WrestleMania 32

Was this the most memorable spot of the year? Maybe yes, maybe no, but this death-defying moment showed us that nine years away from WWE hadn't dampened Shane McMahon's willingness to sacrifice his own body for our entertainment.

The Undertaker's match with Shane McMahon was always likely to boil down to a moment in which Shane jumped off something very high, and that moment was captured in this photograph. The height from which Shane jumps/falls is terrifying to this day, and it is remarkable that he wasn't seriously hurt in the process.

The photo also gets extra points for Byron Saxton's incredible scared face.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
