The women's revolution continued hurtling forward in 2016, and at the forefront of the revolution were two of the women responsible for its ignition in the first place. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks have traded the RAW Women's Championship back and forth over the last few months, with Flair winning the belt on PPV only to lose it on RAW to The Boss.

The latest title change happened on an episode of WWE RAW, as Charlotte put the strap on the line against Banks in a Falls Count Anywhere match. After a brutal back and forth battle the two ended up in the crowd, where Banks twisted Flair's body around the railing and locked in as brutal-looking a Banks Statement as one could ever wish to see.

It created a memorable image, the vibrant colours of the two competitors sitting beautifully alongside the brutality of the move itself.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
