The annual Money in the Bank ladder match was yet another fun instalment in the history of the match, won this year by Dean Ambrose. The highlight of the match was a spot where all six performers found themselves on ladders in the centre of the ring, doing battle with the briefcase hanging tantalisingly above.

What makes this photo great is the man in the centre of it, Sami Zayn. He is surrounded by men who have won singles gold in WWE, men who may never have been the number one guy have nonetheless always been considered top guys. Zayn's career has been one of being so close to the prize, yet so far away.

It is an excellently poetic image.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
