30 Great WWE Superstars And Their Strange Rookie Finishers

10. DDP

Diamond Dallas Page started 1996 as the jobberiest jobber that ever jobbed and by the end of 1997 he was becoming one of WCW€™s biggest stars. His own hard work, determination, and working man charisma had a lot to do with it, but you really can't overstate the importance of the Diamond Cutter to the equation. For years, it was one of the most bulletproof finishers in all of wrestling, second only to the Stone Cold Stunner in its efficacy and surefire crowd reaction. Even better, Page could hit the move from anywhere at any time; it€™s hard to imagine a Page match without the narrative of the surprise Cutter woven in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bxjmq0dXfg The truth is, the pre-Cutter period overlaps almost exactly with DDP€™s sloppy jobber phase, so he didn't get a lot of chances to use his original finisher. For the record, it was the Diamond Clash, better known as the Styles Clash, only without any of AJ€™s inventiveness or any kind of pinning combination. Just chunky, Pre-Crisis Dallas Page going for a piledriver and keeling over.
