30 Great WWE Superstars And Their Strange Rookie Finishers

6. Randy Orton

I have no love for the RKO -- as an old WCW stalwart, it looks and feels like a bad Diamond Cutter to me -- but it's hard to argue against in terms of success. Even when Dandy Randy is as interesting as iceberg lettuce, the RKO gets a great reaction from the fans. A lot of times, that move is the only part of an Orton match that fans notice or remember, so it's hard to imagine the guy wrestling a full match without hitting the move. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ5C4GaS4Q4 However, a baby-faced, 19-year old Randy did just that in his OVW days. You see, before Randall figured out that he could just jump up and grab dudes€™ heads on the way down, his finisher wasn't exactly something he hit, to borrow a phrase, from outta nowhere. He liked to use the wheelbarrow suplex, so he spent a lot of time trying to convince guys who don't throw casadora bulldogs to throw casadora bulldogs so he could counter it into a release German. When he hit the main roster, he adopted the overdrive, a move that never gets over and looks bad without fail.
