30 Most Inconsequential WWE Titleholders Of All Time

7. Finlay - United States Champion - 49 Days (2006)

Finlay used the shillelagh to hand Lashley his first loss, and it was an odd choice because at the time, Finlay wasn't really pushed that highly. Nevertheless, he was slated to defend the belt against Lashley in a rematch at the Great American Bash, but because Lashley had "elevated enzymes in his liver," or whatever that means, Finlay had to face William Regal in a rare heel vs. heel match. Finlay would go on to hold the title for seven weeks after winning it, but rarely defended it. He was in the main event of the No Mercy pay per view as champion, but he was part of a fatal four way match for the World Heavyweight Championship against King Booker, Batista, and Lashley. Two days later on Smackdown, Finlay dropped the belt to a returning Chris Benoit.
