The cynics can say what they want, but you can't take away the genuine awe that the kid inside of every fan had when they saw that spot for the first time. It was impressive, one of the greatest visuals in pro wrestling history. It went on to be described as "the slam heard around the world", which was very appropriate. If 1984 was the arrival of Hulkamania, it was the WrestleMania 3 slam which really solidified its legend. It was a perfect moment and the crowd went wild.
