3. WWE Tries To Take Credit For The Daily Show's Emmy Success
In a lame attempt to piggy-back onto the Emmy Awards broadcast that was taking place at the same time as Night of Champions, Michael Cole mentioned that Jon Stewart's Daily Show was nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, and that in the nominations video package, they showed the clip of John Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment on Stewart. It's a tenuous link at best and is clearly trying to suggest that the WWE is in some part responsible for the Emmy nomination and its eventual win, which is, of course, hilariously absurd.
