32 WTF Moments In Triple H's WWE Career

21. The Curtain Call

It almost seems like an ordinary thing now in the kayfabe bereft modern era of wrestling, but heels and faces mixing in the mid 90's was a big no-no. That was especially the case in terms of Madison Square Garden, which is considered to be the mecca of pro wrestling. The past generations of McMahon promoters would have been rolling over in their graves on May 19 1996, when Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall dropped their gimmicks and embraced right there in the middle of the MSG ring. Shawn and Razor were faces, while Nash and Hunter were heels, so seeing them together in a hug made no sense in wrestling tradition. The reason for the occasion was Hall and Nash's departure to WCW. Meanwhile, HBK was WWF Champion. So with all that in mind, Triple H ended up the one punished, after veterans complained to Vince McMahon about the kayfabe breaking.
