Koko B. Ware's theme tune was confusing - everybody get up, everybody get down...? - but there was nothing confusing about the confusing Hall Of Fame inductee's opening bout opposite Rick Martel at 'Mania VI. The two men were tasked with a simple remit of getting the crowd on their feet and getting out of dodge, and they did precisely that: Koko lifted the crowd with his underrated dropkick game before Martel antagonised them with his underrated crowd appeal game.

A stark face vs. heel dynamic easy to immerse oneself in, this was not bad. Not great. But not bad.
