Either 93,000 or 78,000 fans lapped up this well-constructed tag team opening match, in which the fluid work of the Can-Am Connection was as pristine as their eye-catching, all-white ring gear. Two underrated babyface performers operating in state-of-the-art unison, this frenetic opener nearly justified their infamous egos.

Like the classic babyfaces they were, Zenk and Martel comprehensively outsmarted their opponents by foiling their illegal double team schemes, and maintaining wrist control of Orton Jr. to thwart a tag-in attempt months before Kazuchika Okada was even born.
