This major AEW prospect is set for a big 2023.

Having impressed many during his time under the All Elite banner, Konosuke Takeshita is set to receive a major push in 2023.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (via eWrestlingNews), Dave Meltzer noted how Takeshita has a "big push on the horizon" in AEW.

Meltzer didn't note exactly how, err, 'all in' on the 27-year-old AEW will be going, nor did he mention when this significant push is likely to commence. That said, the Observer editor did mention how the rise of Takeshita will not start in his upcoming match against Bryan Danielson. For those who missed last night's AEW Dynamite, the American Dragon has to remain undefeated until 8 February in order to land himself a 60-minute Iron Man contest against AEW World Champion MJF at the Revolution PPV.

As alluded to, Konosuke Takeshita wowed many during his tour of the United States last year, where a four-month excursion saw the DDT standout put on utter bangers in AEW with the likes of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, 'Hangman' Adam Page, and Eddie Kingston, in addition to impressing elsewhere in bouts against Jonathan Gresham for Terminus, Daniel Garcia for PWG, and Josh Alexander for Garden State Pro Wrestling.

Due to how impressive Takeshita looked, plus clearly how much he enjoyed his time with AEW, the hugely talented star - despite reported WWE interest - officially signed with All Elite Wrestling this past November.
