35 Years Of WWE WrestleMania Mistakes

12. WrestleMania XXIV - An Explosive Finish

WWE

Although the majority of the mistakes on this list have been the result of terrible decision making, at the very least their consequences have been limited to the wrestling world. However, at WrestleMania XXIV it was human error rather than poor choices that led to a mistake which nearly had fatal results.

With a production budget of approximately $300,000 for pyrotechnics alone, WWE rightly should have expected the closing display to run smoothly. Yet after a cable transporting a block of fireworks snapped, a white hot piece of apparatus was hurled into the upper tier of the Citrus Bowl leaving dozens of spectators injured.

In total, forty-five members of the audience were hurt in the accident, with several hospitalised. Though the company vowed to investigate the incident, results of their inquiry were never revealed.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
