Vince Steele, a 6'5", 449-pound colossus, died on 16 March after suffering a "cardiac event" while wrestling for BriiCombination Wrestling in suburban New Jersey. He was just 39 years old. A statement posted to the regional promotion's social media read as follows:

"We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Ridgefield Park Police Department, who were on the scene within minutes and immediately provided emergency medical assistance. Despite their rapid response and the best efforts of first responders, we tragically lost Vince."

Steele, a mainstay in various lesser-known New York-centred territories, first made a name for himself in American Championship Wrestling, where he was celebrated as a Triple Crown Champion upon winning the group's Heavyweight, Diamond, and Tag Team Championships. In his later career, 'The Jurassic Juggernaut' broke out into more renowned independent groups, such as ARRIVAL Wrestling, the previously known Violence x Suffering.
