4 Reasons The WWE Audience Are Right To Feel Aggrevied (And 4 Reasons That They Aren't)

Against: Interesting Angles Down The Line

Wrestlemanialogos This may sound like a bad excuse, but much of what was poor at the Royal Rumble was down to things that the audience had seen before. Cena and Orton have had title matches until the cows came home, Brock Lesnar and Big Show have feuded before, Batista was not a new winner of the Rumble and even Kevin Nash had returned at the Rumble before in 2011. So there is lot to be said for the audience getting sick and tired of this and wanting something new. Well, the good news is that the Rumble did provide some interesting direction going forward. With a prophetic proclamation of "Behold the creators of the New World!" Bray Wyatt drove John Cena's head to the canvas, setting up an interesting angle between Mr Hustle, Loyalty, Respect and one of the most interesting and cerebral heels since Chris Jericho. Furthermore, Dean Ambrose struck the first match that will signal the implosion of the Shield when he tried to eliminate Roman Reigns. There is no doubt that he, Reigns and Seth Rollins are now heading for some sort of reckoning- particularly since Reigns managed to eliminate them both during his record 12 eliminations. Sheamus has returned and in the weeks to come his direction will be great to watch, while Kane and CM Punk are now heading for a collision course which will eventually see the Best in the World move on to the Game at Wrestlemania. Finally, Brock Lesnar could now be setting his sights on Randy Orton which would make for interesting viewing at the Elimnation Chamber while the New Age Outlaws have relieved the Rhodes Brothers of their championships, allowing them perhaps to feud at the big dance. So in other words, though the Royal Rumble did disappoint a lot with its matches, at least it set up scenarios so those matches won't happen again in the near future on a PPV.
