4 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Jan 21)

Bryan Danielson confronts Jon Moxley; Hook owns Rampage; AEW star goes 25-0.

Jon Moxley returned amidst much fanfare on Wednesday's Dynamite, and the entire wrestling community was grateful for it. Well, almost the entire wrestling community - Bully Ray's comments on Busted Open Radio suggested that the man apologise for...taking time off to heal himself both physically and mentally.

Yeah.

Anyway, enough of that. This week's Rampage marked Mox's first appearance on the program since the 24 September 2021 edition. Back then, he teamed with Eddie Kingston vs. Suzuki-gun. On Friday, Jon was up against Ethan Page, and the Men Of The Year worker proved to be the ideal opponent to ease Moxley back in.

In other news, Jade Cargill had a TBS Title defence against Anna Jay to look forward to, and Hook was back in action too. The opener on tap was a rare singles outing for one of The Young Bucks - Nick Jackson vs. Trent Beretta was on offer there.

That, perhaps weirdly, provided the only 'Down' of the 60-minute broadcast. Everything else was rock f*cking solid, and AEW even found the time to tease a mega-match that could light the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view right up.
