4 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Sep 3)

Down...

1. Why Didn’t He Hit Him?

Malakai Black Lee Johnson
AEW

Just...smack him!

Even the Rampage commentary team were confused as to why Lee Johnson didn't crack Malakai Black in the back with that steel chair when he had the chance. Put it this way: Johnson is part of The Nightmare Family, and this match only existed so he could get some revenge on Malakai for Cody Rhodes.

So, with that in mind, it was totally illogical that he decided against taking a free swing at Black with the chair. Chris Jericho, in particular, was almost critiquing the booking live on air from behind the broadcast booth - he didn't seem happy that these guys had decided to put that spot in without some sort of babyface payoff.

Sure, Malakai has supernatural powers or some sh*t, but surely 'Big Shotty' should've taken his shot. He also arguably got too much in during the match, and it was far too slow-paced at times to feel like the revenge bid it was supposed to.
