3. Burning History

This looked like a cool moment for those that don't know the history, but for the more hardcore fans of Konnan - bearing in mind this episode was in Mexico - it likely came across as a slap in the face to wrestling's heritage.

The OGz ran down how Konnan had leeched off people for too long, and so burnt his legendary mask. It was a shocking scene but as mentioned, it probably won't mean that much unless you're part of a specific group of fans. Despite that however, it was a positive stepping stone in the rivalry between the two warring sides, especially after some of the things that have happened in recent times.

It could be classed as redemption of sorts for the storyline. The angle with the child being run down left a bitter taste in this writer's mouth, but this boosted it right back up to where it needed to be in the build towards 14 October.
