2. AAA Match Doesn’t Leave Positive Lasting Impression

First, the slight upside: Los Garza defending their AAA Tag-Team Titles vs. Psycho Clown and Mr. Iguana was something different for SmackDown. This was a legit fresh match for WWE eyeballs, and you don't get to shout about that very often. Sadly, it was nowhere near as slick as it needed to be bell to bell. Man, that sucks to report, but it's true.

Iguana mucked up some work on the ropes, Berto seemed to completely forget the finish, and there was more miscommunication during a crossbody from Psycho that wiped out Angel whilst Berto hit a dropkick. It looked like that was supposed to be a double dropkick, to be honest. Either that or Berto just forgot something else and was supposed to take the crossbody with his partner.

Honestly? Not a match that’ll live long in the memory, and it didn’t do this AAA thing any favours under the WWE umbrella. Ouch! Hopefully, the promotion will give Los Garza another chance at this open challenge thing, because this was sort of rough and they can do a lot better. The duo have shown that when they were part of the hot SmackDown tag ranks pre-Wyatt Sicks dominance.

Chalk this one up as an off night for them, but they weren't alone. Iguana won't be thrilled with how he came across. Sure, his act is wacky and over (the live crowd chanted for him), but the nuts and bolts of his in-ring work failed to meet the mark. That'll need to change if he's ever going to become a WWE regular; even for a short while.

Give these dudes a second chance to make a first impression.
