4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 28)

Downs...

3. Limp Build

The Usos Viking Raiders
WWE

This Usos vs. Viking Raiders feud already feels lazy.

Can teams stop poking fun at Erik and Ivar's personal hygiene? It's so old now, and it never does anything to sell their matches as must-see. On that note, relegating the SmackDown Tag-Team Title feud to one short backstage promo hardly helps matters.

Jimmy and Jey won't be at ringside for Roman's match with Seth Rollins at the Rumble, but they don't have a concrete date for their next title defence either. They're in limbo right now, and have been pretty much since their latest go-around with New Day ended. Why hasn't WWE done more to build a division around the brothers?

They're one hell of a team. So are The Raiders, but this rinse-and-repeat plot of heels claiming they literally stink never works. Erik and Ivar threatening to use their hatchets was another misstep - it almost forced more comedy into a situation that definitely doesn't need any.
