4 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 10)

Ups...

4. Rey Mysterio = WWE Hall Of Famer

Onto the good stuff.

They took their sweet-assed time, but WWE has finally announced someone for this year's Hall Of Fame ceremony. Better yet, it's Rey Mysterio. That's a fine choice, because the lucha sensation is one of the most iconic stars ever, and defied all the odds to become one of WWE's top stars.

Also, and this is really vital, Rey going into the HOF gives his boy Dominik something else to bitch about and help frame their father/son feud. Dom called it a disgrace that daddy dearest was getting honoured right before WrestleMania 39, and that added more fuel to the fire for their coming match.

WWE has tripped up with this story a few times (they've also stalled like crazy), but Rey going into the Hall Of Fame should kick things up a notch. Don't be shocked if creative adds in a career-ending stipulation for Rey vs. Dom too; putting his son over at 'Mania would be a fine way for the legend to bow out.
