4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (12 April - Review)
2. Same Old Sh*t
Dr. Britt Baker is probably correct to call those who complain about the Outcasts Vs. Homegrowns storyline "microwave babies" because it isn't dragging for no reason. There's a destination in mind, one that will bring parity to the division on a major and bloody scale, but AEW is in the procrastination phase of a story with a one-dimensional premise, as this segment laid bare.
Toni Storm and Ruby Soho went over Riho and Skye Blue in a nothing match which, unlike the last few weeks, was nowhere near good enough to elevate a story in neutral gear.
Saraya sprayed Riho with an 'L', and Jamie Hayter and then Britt made the save - weirdly, with their own theme each playing successively. This is a minor and very pedantic note, but it felt far too fake, that. It felt like a show and not like an event that happens to have been broadcasted.
AEW had to set up a Baker match for Pittsburgh next week, but this was very redundant. The conflict was established months ago. They might as well have ran a graphic for how ineffective this all was.
