4. Jurassic Express' Big Moment Falls Short
It should have been great, Lucha Brothers vs. Jurassic Express, but fate dealt the wrestlers a bad hand in the form of Rey Fenix's injury, the match preceding that unfortunate moment wasn't as cohesive as it perhaps could have been, and Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus' big moment fell flat.
That last part stinks. Jurassic Express celebrating with the Tag Team Championships, then facing off with almost every tandem on the roster (who gathered on the stage), didn't register as a huge, cathartic triumph. It should have, given how beloved this team (and Jungle Boy in particular) is, but when the match itself isn't all that satisfying, the outcome often underwhelms.
Lucha Bros. and Jurassic worked hard, at least, delivering a number of eyeball-popping spots, including a spectacular Destroyer that saw Jungle Boy leap over Luchasaurus and Penta El Zero Miedo to plant Fenix. Later, Luchasaurus Chokeslamming Fenix through the table could be hailed as another adrenaline-pumper if not for the gruesome injury.
Ultimately, the match wasn't fluid or cohesive enough to register as a wild, crazy spotfest and there weren't enough slower moments to classify it as a more classically styled tag bout. It was somewhere in between - and muddled as a result.
