4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 10)

Ups...

4. Still Digging This

Swerve Strickland Dustin Rhodes
AEW

Ignore the dodgy lighting pictured above - it was kinda hard to make out much of what happened towards the end of this skit because sunlight cascaded in through windows directly into AEW's cameras. Production wobbles aside, it was a really strong piece of business.

Dustin Rhodes cut a fired-up promo on the Mogul Affiliates, then Swerve Strickland's goons attacked him. The fact Dustin met them head on and wasn't sneak-attacked worked, and so did Swerve announcing a match with Rhodes for next week.

Job done.

Yours truly really thinks these lads can do something special together if they're allowed to brawl and aren't expected to work some 25-minute epic. That's not Dustin's strength in 2023, and it isn't necessary to keep pushing Strickland anyway.

Short promos like this are a real credit to Rampage.
