4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Road Rager (June 17)

Downs...

4. Your Point, Caller?

Max Caster Gunn Club
AEW

Boy, this was useless.

Max Caster teamed up with Gunn Club to beat Leon Ruff and Bear Country is roughly one minute. The match was a senseless waste of everyone's time, and seemingly only existed so Caster could rap and fans could chant, "Ass Boys" along with the injured Anthony Bowens.

Generally, Tony Khan crams too much into each Rampage episode. This was a classic example of that, and it shouldn't have happened. Would it have killed AEW to give Jade Cargill and Willow Nightingale another few minutes for their match, or maybe stuck another minute or two onto Jon Moxley vs. Dante Martin?

Instead, Ruff and his big buddies were thrown to the wolves. It's strange to see workers like Caster and the Gunns (who typically play cowardly heels during their matches) dominate and squash others anyway. This whole segment was a big ol' miss.
