4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Road Rager (June 17)

3. Wrecking Their Own Rankings

AEW likes to claim that every win and loss matters in the title rankings picture. So, why did Willow Nightingale get a crack at Jade's TBS Title then? Her own entrance graphic pointed out that she last wrestled for AEW on the 2 May edition of Dark: Elevation against Gia Scott.

Her overall win/loss record for 2022 is also 1-3.

It's great to see Willow get some TV time (she's fab), but come on. Two months on from your last All Elite outing and still getting a shot at a supposedly-prestigious belt with a losing record? Next, Tony will be shoving Ashley D'Amboise from those Dark: Elevation tapings into the title mix too. Why not, eh?!

Handing championship matches out like free sweeties then trying to make a big deal out of Toni Storm being "the top ranked contender" for Thunder Rosa's own title in the same episode is stupid. Consistency is everything when you're leaning on real-sports rankings.
